VIETNAM’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF REUNIFICATION DAY

Vietnam is preparing for a grand parade to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Reunification Day on April 30, 2025 and all Vietnamese’s hearts are heading to Ho Chi Minh city for the historical and memorable event. We are so proud of our country, history and to be Vietnamese. ​

Grand Parade Details

The official state-level ceremony will commence at 6:30 AM on April 30 along Lê Duẩn Boulevard in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. This significant event will feature:​

• Military and Civilian March: Approximately 13,000 participants, including military, police, militia, and mass organizations, will partake in the parade. ​International Participation: Military units from China, Laos, and Cambodia will join the march, highlighting regional solidarity. ​

• Aerial Displays: The event will begin with a flyover by helicopters and fighter jets carrying the national and Party flags.

• Artistic Performances: A 30-minute cultural performance, including a drum ensemble by the People’s Police Academy and various artistic displays, will precede the parade. ​

• Symbolic Acts: The ceremony will feature a flag-raising, 21-gun salute, and the release of balloons and doves, symbolizing peace and unity. ​

  

Evening Celebrations

Later in the day, festivities will continue with:​

• Cavalry Parade: Officers and soldiers from the Ministry of Public Security will conduct a horse-mounted parade along Nguyễn Huệ Street

• Brass Band Performances: At 8:00 PM, Nguyễn Huệ and Lê Lợi Streets will host vibrant brass band performances combined with equestrian demonstrations.

• 

  Fireworks Display: From 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM, artistic fireworks will light up the sky at 30 locations throughout Ho Chi Minh City, providing a spectacular visual experience. ​

  

Traffic and Viewing Information

Due to the scale of the event:​

• Road Restrictions: Several streets, including Lê Duẩn Boulevard, will have traffic restrictions from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM on April 30. Only authorized personnel and vehicles with special permits will be allowed during this time. ​

• Best Viewing Spots: For optimal views of the parade, consider positions along Lê Duẩn Street, near the Independence Palace, or elevated locations like Diamond Plaza and M Plaza.

This 50th-anniversary celebration is a momentous occasion, reflecting Vietnam’s journey of unity and progress. If you’re planning to attend, ensure you arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and be prepared for large crowds.​
