List if 12 countries granted visa exemption to Viet Nam from August 15, 2025

The Vietnamese Government has decided to grant visa exemptions to citizens of 12 countries entering Vietnam from August 15, with a temporary stay of 45 days, in an effort to stimulate tourism.

On August 11, the Government issued Resolution No. 229 on granting visa exemptions under the tourism promotion program for citizens of the following 12 countries

1. The Kingdom of Belgium
2. The Republic of Bulgaria
3. The Republic of Croatia
4. The Czech Republic
5. Hungary
6. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
7. The Kingdom of the Netherlands
8. The Republic of Poland
9. Romania
10. The Slovak Republic
11. The Republic of Slovenia,
12. Swiss Confederation

Citizens of these countries entering Vietnam for tourism purposes are allowed a temporary stay of 45 days, regardless of passport type. This visa exemption policy will be in effect from August 15, 2025, until August 14, 2028.

Earlier in March, the Government extended the unilateral visa exemption for citizens of 12 countries. As a result, Vietnam now unilaterally grants visa exemptions to citizens of 24 countries in total.
