Fresh young coconuts are an organic tropical fruit available all year round in Vietnam. Vietnamese coconuts are widely exported to major global markets such as the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, the UAE, and the Middle East.

Main Coconut Growing Regions in Vietnam

Coconut trees can be found throughout Vietnam’s countryside, especially along coastal areas.
However, the two most important regions for export-quality fresh young coconuts are:

• Ben Tre and nearby Mekong Delta provinces (Southern Vietnam)

• Tam Quan district, Binh Dinh province (Central Vietnam)

Ben Tre is known as the “capital of Vietnamese coconuts” thanks to its excellent productivity and quality. Fresh young coconuts from this region are exceptionally sweet, while mature coconuts have thick, premium-quality flesh. Most of the coconuts we pack for export are sourced from Ben Tre — located just two hours from Ho Chi Minh City.

Storage & Shelf Life

Fresh young coconuts must be stored at cold temperatures, ideally at +5°C.
With proper cold-chain handling, the shelf life of our fresh young coconuts is approximately: 60-80 days at +5°C

Fresh Young Coconut Varieties And Packing

The main variety used for export packing is the Xiem (Siam/Thai) coconut, known for its clean flavor and perfect sweetness.

Coconuts selected for export must be at the ideal maturity — not too young and not too old — ensuring the best drinking quality.

Common export shapes include:

• Original Fresh Young Coconut

• Easy Open Top Coconut

• Diamond Cut Coconut (the most popular for export)
