WHAT IS COIR BOARD?

A coir board is a rigid panel made from coir fibers — the natural fibers extracted from the husk of coconuts. These fibers are processed and bonded (often using natural or synthetic latex) to form stiff, flat sheets or boards.

Types of coir board:

• Rubberized Coir Board: Coir fibers bonded with rubber latex.
• Needle Felt Coir Board: Densely needled without latex (eco-friendly, firm).
• Resin-Bonded Coir Board: Less common, bonded with resin or glue.

Applications of coir board:

• Optional: Foam or latex layers added for comfort
• Bottom: Fabric cover

1. Pure Coir Mattress: Only coir inside, very firm.
2. Coir + Foam Mattress: Coir for firmness + foam for softness.
3. Coir + Latex Mattress: Higher-end version with latex for bounce and support.
