A coco peat block (also called coir pith block or coconut coir block) is a compressed form of coco peat, which is a natural growing medium made from the fibrous dust (pith) of coconut husks.

When coconuts are processed for coir fiber (used in mats, ropes, etc.), the fine powdery byproduct — coco peat — is collected, cleaned, dried, and compressed into compact blocks of 5 kg (or sometimes 650g, 1kg, etc.).
